Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple is located at Kothakonda a beautiful village surrounded by hills is dedicated to Sri Veerabhadra Swamy, an incarnation of Lord Siva. It is just 5Km away from the Mulkanoor village known for it’s cooperative movement. Former Prime Minister Mr. P.V Narasimha Rao headed this cooperative society in his intial days. The beautiful architecture of the bigfort with huge gateways in adjoining hillrocks resembles the kakatiyas. In five ponds on the top of the spacious hill two are reported to contain water even under severe drought conditions. The temple of Veerabhadra Swamy is at the foot of this hill. The three-day Kothakonda Jatara celebrated in January every year attracts thousands of pilgrims all over the Telangana region.
